I’ve always believed that true luxury lies in discretion, culture, and genuine relationships. Over the
years, I’ve had the privilege of working in luxury hospitality with some of the world’s most renowned
brands and Michelin-starred restaurants before moving into wealth management. Hospitality taught me the
art of making people feel genuinely cared for—through thoughtful attention to detail, quiet elegance, and
the way even the smallest gestures can leave a lasting impression. Wealth management deepened my
appreciation for discretion, trust, and the value of long-term relationships.
Although these worlds may seem different, they share the same foundation. To me, every table is an
opportunity, and every gathering should be meaningful rather than superficial. When people feel seen,
recognized, comfortable, and truly welcomed, trust grows naturally. Conversations become relationships,
and relationships become opportunities. That, for me, is the essence of The Vesper Society.
Some of the values that have shaped the way I welcome people were never taught in a hotel.
They came from the warmth, generosity and genuine hospitality that surrounded me growing up. Years in luxury hospitality gave those values discipline and precision, but their foundations were already there.
I’ve learned that the first moments of an encounter often say more than the conversation itself. A firm handshake. Eye contact. A genuine smile. Showing respect for the person in front of you before saying a single word.
Over the years, my understanding of hospitality has evolved. I’ve come to believe that serving someone is one of the simplest expressions of appreciation and respect. How people feel while they’re in your care is what they remember long after the evening ends.
Perhaps that’s why I’ve always been drawn to places where time seems to slow down. Around a remarkable meal, a fine spirit, a cigar, and conversations that are never rushed.
To me, that’s what great hosting has always been about. Not simply welcoming people, but giving them a reason to return.
Throughout our careers, we have had the privilege of learning from some of the
finest hospitality brands in the world.
They taught us discipline, consistency and attention to detail. More importantly, they taught us that
the
experiences people remember are rarely defined by what was served, but by how they felt and who they shared the
moment with.
Over time, we realised we no longer wanted to simply represent someone else’s vision of hospitality.
We wanted the freedom to practice hospitality exactly as we believed it should be.
To create experiences with the same level of care and personal involvement that has always defined the
